Life On the Ranch

There’s more growing here than flowers.

Songbird Ranch is home to livestock and wildlife, gardens and wildflowers, old fences, busy seasons, quiet mornings, and whatever else the day decides to bring along.

When we bought the ranch, much of the property needed some love. The fences were falling down, the old barn was dark and tired, and weeds had taken over large stretches of the land.

Five years later, we’re still working on it.

There are always fences to mend, things to fix, gardens to plant, and projects that somehow seem to multiply when we aren’t looking.

But there are also wild roses along the fence line, horses in the pasture, flowers coming into bloom, and those rare mornings when everything is quiet and you can stand in the middle of it all and think, we really get to live here.

This is the life behind the flowers.

Come along for the ride!
